Position Overview

As a Lead Business Systems Consultant, you will collaborate closely with Data Lake engineers to offer technical expertise, advice, and solutions to their inquiries. You will play a crucial role in guiding the business unit to identify optimal solutions and system specifications tailored to their unique requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with technology, data, and business intelligence teams to implement project strategies aligned with objectives and timelines.
  • Design, execute, and enhance data processing within SSIS packages and stored procedures.
  • Comprehend business workflows and the interconnections between various systems.
  • Assist in crafting and refining in-application SQL queries.
  • Deliver systems support for reporting and analytical initiatives.
  • Collect data and evaluate challenges across projects to drive strategic transformation.
  • Engage in code reviews for developed modules and applications.
  • Propose recommendations to fulfill client or business goals.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience with a solid understanding of database principles and experience with both relational and non-relational databases.
  • Familiarity with essential AWS services, applications, and best practices for AWS architecture.
  • Proficient in T-SQL programming and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience with core AWS services, including Athena, Lambda, and other RDS services.
  • Ability to learn, comprehend, and apply technology in relation to business needs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of substantial experience in big data/data lake development.
  • Experience in cross-organizational collaboration with both business and technology teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, SSRS, Power BI, and SSIS.
