We are in search of innovative Engineers who are eager to learn and passionate about crafting exceptional software. Our evaluation process focuses not just on technical experience or specific programming languages, but also on the candidate's ability to think creatively and tackle challenges with a unique perspective. We adhere to The Twelve-Factor App principles and have chosen modern, ergonomic programming languages that enhance productivity and clarity, specifically utilizing modern JVM technologies such as Quarkus/Micronaut with Kotlin, along with lightweight Go command tools. Our architecture is based on event-driven microservices, utilizing Kafka and Webhooks, and our diverse data storage solutions include Oracle, Postgres, and Cassandra.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop software as part of a dynamic agile team, where your contributions can significantly impact our outcomes and architecture.
  • Work closely with the product team to ensure that tasks entering the scrum team are well-defined and comprehensible to the engineers.
  • Guarantee that our infrastructure is secure, scalable, reliable, and meets service level agreements for both external and internal users.
  • Mentor junior engineers in their software development endeavors.
  • Establish a strong brand for our platform, which includes exceptional APIs, a Developer Portal, Tutorials, and SDKs.
  • Ensure that our solutions are easy to test, intuitive, and maintainable.
  • Utilize cutting-edge tools for remote collaboration and developer satisfaction, such as IntelliJ CodeWithMe and Tuple.
  • Engage in design and code reviews for critical components and cross-enterprise initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with backend reactive programming languages, particularly Java 17+ and/or Kotlin.
  • Demonstrated success in developing lightweight reactive microservices using frameworks like Vert.x, Quarkus, Micronaut, or Spring Boot.
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders and product owners to refine upcoming project requirements.
  • Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and messaging systems, including Kafka, webhooks, and asynchronous API design.
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
  • Experience working as an individual contributor within a cross-functional agile team.
  • Background in FinTech is highly advantageous.
  • Proven experience in supporting mission-critical platforms with high availability and service continuity.
  • Solid understanding of cloud-based architecture and distributed systems.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to express differing opinions constructively.
  • Self-motivated and capable of navigating ambiguous environments throughout the innovation process.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and openness to experimenting with different approaches.
  • Value teamwork and prioritize the interests of the team above individual goals.
