Architecture: Our systems are built on an event-driven microservices architecture that leverages Kafka and Webhooks, with a polyglot persistence strategy that includes Oracle, Postgres, and Cassandra.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop software as part of a dynamic agile team, where your contributions significantly impact the overall success and architecture.
- Collaborate closely with the product team to ensure that incoming work is well-defined and comprehensible for the engineering team.
- Maintain a robust infrastructure that is scalable, reliable, and meets service level agreements for both internal and external users.
- Mentor junior engineers in their software development tasks.
- Create a strong brand for our platform that includes exceptional APIs, a Developer Portal, tutorials, and SDKs.
- Ensure that our solutions are intuitive, maintainable, and easily testable.
- Utilize cutting-edge tools for remote collaboration and enhance developer satisfaction, such as IntelliJ CodeWithMe and Tuple.
- Engage in design and code reviews for critical components and enterprise-wide initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in backend reactive programming languages, particularly Java 17+ and/or Kotlin.
- Demonstrated success in developing lightweight reactive microservices using frameworks like Vert.x, Quarkus, Micronaut, or Spring Boot.
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders and product owners to refine and clarify upcoming projects.
- Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and messaging systems, including Kafka and asynchronous API design.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
- Experience as an individual contributor within a cross-functional agile team.
- Background in FinTech is highly advantageous.
- Proven track record in supporting mission-critical platforms with high availability and service continuity.
- Solid experience in cloud-based architecture and distributed systems.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to express differing opinions constructively.
- Self-motivated and capable of navigating ambiguity throughout the innovation process.
- Committed to continuous learning and open to experimenting with new approaches.
- Prioritize collaboration and consistently place team interests above individual goals.
