Surgical Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist to join our team at Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital. As a key member of our operating room team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of surgical services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare the operating room, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and equipment are available and functioning properly.
- Assist the surgeon and other members of the surgical team during procedures, providing support and maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
- Participate in the care of patients before, during, and after surgery, including preparing patients for anesthesia and assisting with post-operative care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in surgical technology or a related field preferred.
- Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) required.
- At least two years of experience as a Surgical Technologist in an acute care setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
