About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist to join our team at Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital. As a key member of our operating room team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of surgical services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the operating room, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and equipment are available and in good working order.
  • Assist the surgeon and other members of the surgical team during procedures, providing support and maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, ensuring that patients are prepared for surgery and recovering safely.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or military training equivalency preferred.
  • Two years of experience as a Surgical Technologist, with a strong background in obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Technologist in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) certification required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
