Job Title: Senior Project Engineer

At Pelican Energy Consultants, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of complex mechanical systems for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate efforts of multi-discipline engineers, drafting, and other project personnel.
  • Develop concepts and configurations for multi-discipline scope.
  • Develop design criteria for overall project.
  • Provide technical input to design processes.
  • Lead engineer responsible for mechanical discipline-specific detailed designs, reports, etc.
  • Develop discipline-specific design drawing content.
  • Prepare discipline-specific design specifications and procurement packages for materials and equipment.
  • Provide input and support with other discipline design specifications and procurement packages for materials and equipment.
  • Prepare detailed work scopes and man-hour estimates as needed.
  • Checking of project deliverables vs. design criteria and standards.
  • Provide teaching and supervising of others when necessary.
  • Perform other technical assignments as directed.
  • Interface with client during regular progress update meetings and technical design meetings.
  • Provide updates and reporting to project manager.
  • Coordinate preparation of multi-discipline design packages submittals.
  • Competent leading project efforts for site layouts of various types of facilities, development of equipment specifications (fixed and rotating), development of P&IDs, specifications of piping/valves, and other types of equipment and materials.
  • Competent with industry codes and standards.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or university) and 10+ years related experience.

Certificates & Licenses: PE License preferred.
