Job Summary

Loparex, a leading international manufacturer of high-grade specialty films, seeks an experienced Maintenance Mechanic/Machinist to join our team at our Malvern, PA facility. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing equipment maintenance, adjustments, troubleshooting, repairs, and installations to ensure the smooth operation of our blown film manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including equipment inspections, lubrication, and adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical malfunctions, using precision measuring equipment, tools, and gauges.
  • Install and maintain ancillary equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to support plant operations and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Document completed repair work and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment, with a strong background in mechanical maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to machine and assemble parts from prints, sketches, and samples to reasonable tolerances.
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, pipefitting, soldering, welding, carpentry, plumbing, boilers, pumps, compressors, and basic electricity.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, climb stairs, reach, bend, and push-pull.
  • Valid tow motor operator's license (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
