Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Soliant. As a key member of our educational services team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality speech and language therapy services to students in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders in students, and develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address these needs.
  • Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in groups, to help them achieve their full potential academically and socially.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students' communication development and provide training and support on speech and language development strategies.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of student assessments, therapy sessions, and progress, and participate in IEP meetings to contribute to the development of students' goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program, and valid Illinois state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certifications and Endorsements: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement (Teaching Endorsement: 154).
  • Experience and Skills: Previous experience in a school setting preferred, with strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
