Position Summary:Soliant is seeking a committed Communication Specialist to become a vital part of our educational team. The selected candidate will be tasked with evaluating, diagnosing, and providing interventions for students facing communication challenges, thereby facilitating their academic and social success.
Primary Duties:- Evaluate and identify communication and language challenges in students
- Develop and execute tailored intervention strategies
- Provide therapeutic services to students both individually and in group settings
- Work collaboratively with educators, families, and staff to enhance students' communication abilities
- Keep comprehensive records of student development
- Engage in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and assist in setting objectives
- Offer training to staff on effective communication techniques
- Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid state licensure in Communication Pathology
- Certification of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- State Professional Educator License with Communication Pathologist endorsement
- Experience in an educational setting is preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Capability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Successful completion of background checks and fingerprinting
- Adherence to special education guidelines
