  • Treatment Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, incorporating a range of therapeutic approaches and strategies.
  • Direct Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in groups, promoting effective communication and language development.
  • Collaboration and Consultation: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students' communication development, providing training and support on speech and language development strategies.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of student assessments, therapy sessions, and progress, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development, staying current with best practices and research in speech-language pathology.

Requirements:

  • Education and Certification: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program, valid Illinois state license in Speech-Language Pathology, and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience and Skills: Previous experience in a school setting, strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
