About the Role
Honda Aero LLC in Burlington, NC is seeking a skilled accounting professional to join our team. As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in analyzing financial information, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and receipts.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and receipts
- Lead the company vehicle program and employee purchase programs
- Responsible for fixed asset accounting, including, but not limited to, duties associated with the monthly financial close, reconciliations, maintaining a strong internal control environment, asset management, and capital reporting
- Process inter-company orders and/or invoices and reconcile inter-company balances
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insights on financial status and performance
- Identify, investigate and resolve accounting issues and discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Support budget preparation and financial planning processes
- Maintains accounting controls by following policies and procedures; complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements
Requirements
- Associate's degree in accounting or equivalent with experience
- 0-3 years of relevant accounting experience preferably with accounts payable
- General knowledge of finance and accounting principles including generally accepted accounting principals, practices and procedures
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Accounting systems
- Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization
- Sound time management skills
- Detail oriented, ability to show initiative and take responsibility
- Ability to work independently and in a team oriented environment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Willingness to learn and grow
- Strong analytical skills that enable you to identify and solve complex problems, interpret data, and make sound decisions
- Strong continuous improvement skills that enable you to identify and implement process improvements, waste reduction and cost savings
Working Conditions

- The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, mandatory hearing protection and safety shoes
