Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Cross Resource Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing day-to-day maintenance responsibilities for 3 manufacturing plants in the Burlington area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electro-Mechanical Troubleshooting and Repair: The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electro-mechanical equipment, including production machines, to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Preventive Maintenance: The successful candidate will perform regular preventive maintenance on production machines to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operation.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: The candidate will be responsible for documenting maintenance activities and procedures, including maintaining a daily log of work performed.
  • Team Collaboration: The successful candidate will work closely with the operations team to ensure the smooth operation of plant processing equipment and scale systems.
  • Safety Leadership: The candidate will demonstrate strong safety leadership skills and follow safe work practices to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3+ years of related experience and/or training in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills: The candidate will have strong knowledge of AC/DC motors, controls, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical systems, and troubleshooting.
  • Computer Skills: The successful candidate will have basic computer skills and the ability to work independently.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions, extreme cold and heat, working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area.
  • The successful candidate will occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds utilizing the buddy system or specifically designed lifting devices.
