Job Title: Commissioning Specialist

The Building People, LLC, is seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Specialist to join our team. As a Commissioning Specialist, you will be responsible for leading our team in facilitating comprehensive retrocommissioning and retuning services to large federal buildings in New England.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and conduct retrocommissioning activities, including auditing, inventorying, baselining, benchmarking, implementation management, and measurement and verification (M&V)
  • Oversee HVAC techs and other technical personnel
  • Assist in the management and oversight of CMMS and Work Order systems
  • Identify Energy and Water Conservation Measures (ECMs or WCMs) and make recommendations to improve building operations

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in building operations and maintenance
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with controls systems such as Distech, Lynxspring, Johnson, Honeywell, etc.
  • Mechanical Engineering PE
  • Experience with Tridium Niagara

The ideal candidate will be familiar with federal energy mandates and reporting. This position is structured to be primarily remote, with the ability to travel to sites in the New England area when site visits are required or meet with federal leadership.
