Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage staff assigned to the unit, ensuring they are performing their duties to the highest standard.
  • Oversee the unit's program and services, including recreational activities, education, and counseling.
  • Monitor and assess the unit's progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Participate in recruiting, hiring, and orienting new staff members.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, inmates, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and secure operation.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three years of experience in a correctional facility or related field, including two years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Additional qualifying education may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of correctional facility management, supervision, and training principles.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 20 years of age.
