About the Role

Cook Children's Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Process Excellence Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Process Improvement department, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence and enhancing the quality of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Develop and deliver process improvement training and education to staff members.
  • Lead departmental and cross-functional teams through the continuous improvement effort.
  • Facilitate the identification, understanding, and improvement of process issues using quantitative and qualitative tools.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvement initiatives and programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Nursing, or other clinical discipline; Master's degree a plus.
  • 1-3 years of proven experience in Process Improvement using Lean and Six Sigma; Healthcare experience is a plus.
  • Experienced and passionate process improvement leader and educator with proven problem-solving experience.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary groups.
  • Trusted professional credibility and proven record of performance with basic analytical and statistical methods.
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of basic software: MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Minitab.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is required; ASQ or IIE Certification is strongly preferred.
