Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Executive to join our team as Chief Industries Officer. This is a key leadership role that will oversee the development and implementation of our industries strategy.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the IDB Invest industries business plan, ensuring alignment with IDB Group priorities.
  • Manage relationships and business development with private sector clients and entities.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to the Industries Department team, supporting their strategic, tactical, and operational responsibilities.
  • Oversee the business performance from an industry perspective, working closely with the Delivery Units.
  • Define industry priorities and roadmaps, establish upstream work, and provide advisory services to clients.
  • Supervise and manage the performance of the portfolio.
  • Identify, promote, and execute synergies with IDB and IDB Lab.
  • Manage resources for the Industries Department, including operational, human, capital, and budgetary resources.
Requirements
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience as a banker with a proven business track record.
  • Expertise in industries (infrastructure and energy, financial institutions, and corporations).
  • Strong market and private sector company relationships (C-level) in Latin America and the Caribbean.
  • Master's degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Law, Engineering, or another relevant field.
  • Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank's official languages (Spanish, French, or Portuguese).
What We Offer

IDB Invest offers a competitive remuneration package that reflects the value and expertise of our candidates. This comprehensive package includes attractive cash compensation, performance-based variable pays, robust insurance coverage, and a pension plan.

We offer a staff contract, initially 36 months, renewable upon mutual agreement.
