Job Overview:

The Collegiate Hotel Group is seeking a skilled Front Office Manager to join its team at Graduate by Hilton Minneapolis. As a key member of the hotel's management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the front desk operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, and driving revenue growth.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description:

In this role, you will:
  • Monitor daily room status, rates, discount rates, and packages.
  • Maintain current lists of available rooms for walk-in situations.
  • Coordinate blocking of rooms for groups.
  • Act as the 'Service Champion' for the Front Office, creating a positive atmosphere for guest relations.
  • Communicate the hotel's unique design elements for effective storytelling.
  • Review and understand budgeted staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met.
  • Review guest satisfaction results and property audits to identify areas of improvement.
  • Drive the Front Desk Upsell Program to assist in maximizing hotel revenue.
  • Solicit employee feedback, utilize an 'open door' policy, and review employee satisfaction results to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure staff communicates effectively with other hotel departments.
  • Maintain a productive relationship with Valet Parking providers.
  • Regularly review department budgets to meet budgeted wages and general expenses.
  • Ensure prompt and courteous service to guests.
  • Pre-register guests according to standards.
  • Complete and monitor employee schedules.
  • Monitor and ensure VIP arrivals are executed to the highest standard.
  • Keep track of rooms to ensure accurate status and readiness for check-in.
  • Hire, train, and develop direct employees.
  • Interact positively and professionally with guests to resolve issues.
  • Act as Manager on Duty as required.
  • Work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar leadership position.
  • A High School Diploma/GED, with post-high school education preferred.
