Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate II to join our team at Collabera. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing biological samples, conducting laboratory testing, and supporting sample management activities. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the success of our organization.Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain inventory of biological samples, including cryopreservation and retrieval for analytical testing
  • Conduct routine characterization testing using various laboratory methods, such as ELISA and Molecular Biology
  • Support sample management activities, including data documentation and cell counting/viability analysis
  • Provide training to team members on sample and inventory management systems
  • Draft and revise SOPs and work instructions for sample management activities
  • Project lead for improvement projects within the team
  • Collaborate with different departments to create sample processing and sampling requirements
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and 0+ years of experience OR Associate Degree and 2+ years of experience OR High School Degree and 5+ years of experience
  • Proficiency with aseptic technique and prior biological sample management experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of general lab assays, including cell culture, ELISA, Flow Cytometry, and Molecular Biology
  • Ability to follow laboratory procedures with attention to detail and basic to intermediate understanding of sample collection, processing protocols, and shipping condition requirements
  • Experience with maintaining inventory across multiple critical equipment temperature-controlled units and understanding of GxP requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to think critically and demonstrate troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
