Key Responsibilities- Administer medications safely and accurately, adhering to the scope of RN practice.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with physicians to perform invasive and non-invasive procedures on the nursing unit.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest equipment and procedures used in pediatric and med/surg patient care.
- Document and communicate patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Engage with families to develop care plans that meet the needs of pediatric patients.
- Ensure the accurate and timely completion of physician orders.
- Transcribe physician orders into the electronic medical record with precision.
- Provide guidance and supervision to LPNs, POCTs, and other ancillary staff.
- Current RN licensure for Ohio and ongoing maintenance.
- Current CPR certification and ongoing maintenance.
- Obtain PALS certification within one year.
- Develop and maintain ECG rhythm recognition skills.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
