Faculty Position at Coast Community College District

The Coast Community College District is seeking a part-time instructor to teach in various disciplines. As a part-time faculty member, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students and contribute to the academic success of our community.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines. You will also be expected to maintain accurate records, assign grades, and provide feedback to students. Additionally, you may be required to teach online or off-campus classes.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must meet one of the following qualifications:
1. A valid California Community College instructor credential, appropriate to the subject, issued prior to July 1, 1990;
2. A master's degree from an accredited institution in the subject area or a related field;
3. A bachelor's degree in the subject area or a related field and a master's degree in any field;
4. A combination of education and experience that is at least equivalent to the above qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
We prefer candidates with recent community college or lower division teaching experience, as well as expertise and professional experience in the field of course(s) to be taught.
Working Conditions
This is a part-time, temporary position, and employment is contingent upon verification of employment history, background verification, eligibility to work in the United States, and approval by the CCCD Board of Trustees. The hours of work and the effective date of employment will be arranged with the supervisor.
