Faculty Position at Coast Community College District

We are seeking a part-time, temporary instructor to teach mathematics or statistics courses at Coast Community College District. The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in mathematics or applied mathematics, or a bachelor's degree in mathematics or applied mathematics with a master's degree in statistics, physics, or mathematics education.
The successful candidate will provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines, maintain accurate records, and assignments may include day, evening, weekend, on-line and/or off-campus classes.

Responsibilities
- Provide instruction in mathematics or statistics courses
- Maintain accurate records
- Assignments may include day, evening, weekend, on-line and/or off-campus classes
- Teach all scheduled classes
- Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas
Requirements
- Master's degree in mathematics or applied mathematics, or a bachelor's degree in mathematics or applied mathematics with a master's degree in statistics, physics, or mathematics education
- Evidence of a sensitivity to, understanding of, and the ability to manage the classroom environment and effectively provide instruction to community college students of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Recent community college or lower division teaching experience
- Expertise and professional experience in the field of mathematics or statistics

Salary
The salary for this position will be based on the current Part-Time Faculty Salary Schedule.
