Position Summary


The Maintenance Engineering Supervisor is responsible for strategizing, designing, and executing maintenance initiatives aimed at maximizing the efficiency and productivity of manufacturing facilities and equipment.

This supervisory role involves overseeing professional-level staff and may include some oversight of para-professional employees. Challenges encountered may be significant but are generally straightforward.

Responsibilities

  • Establish goals and objectives for team members to achieve operational success while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures among direct reports, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate maintenance engineering tasks, including the evaluation of mechanical and electrical engineering specifications.
  • Conduct engineering assessments of proposed new equipment designs to evaluate reliability, maintenance ease, and availability of replacement components.
  • Collaborate with production personnel to synchronize repair activities, safety inspections, and the introduction of new equipment with production timelines.
  • Engage in the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
  • Lead the team in exploring and implementing continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; OR a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
