About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Mechanical Engineer PE with project management expertise in HVAC and plumbing design to lead high-impact, diverse building projects in a collaborative and supportive environment. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer PE / Project Manager, you will manage full-cycle projects for commercial, multifamily, educational, healthcare, and institutional buildings.

You will have the opportunity to work with a team of talented professionals, while leading projects from design to completion, and ensuring quality, budget, and performance standards are met. Your expertise in AutoCAD and Revit is essential, and experience with HVAC modeling programs like TRACE700, CHVAC7.0, or AIRMaster is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mechanical Design & Documentation: Develop detailed AutoCAD/Revit files and construction documents for various building types, with a focus on HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Project Management: Oversee projects from conception to completion, managing resources, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful delivery.
  • Client Collaboration: Build strong relationships with new and existing clients, delivering project updates and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and coach junior staff while leading your team in mechanical design and project management.
  • Business Development: Actively identify and develop new business opportunities within the HVAC and plumbing design space.
  • Quality Control: Review mechanical design submittals, address field issues, and ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with regulatory standards and maintain the highest safety standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License required.
  • 6+ years of experience in HVAC and/or plumbing design and project management.
  • Expertise in AutoCAD and Revit is essential; experience with HVAC modeling programs like TRACE700, CHVAC7.0, or AIRMaster is a plus.
  • Experience working on commercial, multifamily, educational, healthcare, and institutional buildings is preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, budget, and timelines are met.
