We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer, PE, with expertise in HVAC/Plumbing design and project management to join our team at BKOutlooks.
Job Responsibilities:- Design and Project Management: Calculate, design, and generate AutoCAD and/or Revit files and construction documents to support MEP engineering needs for various building types, including commercial office, K-12 schools, municipal buildings, healthcare facilities, and multifamily units.
- Project Management: Manage projects from start to finish, establishing schedules, assigning resources, monitoring performance, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Document Management: Maintain and organize all mechanical engineering-related documents and schedules, as well as general project documents.
- Field Support: Provide review of mechanical design submittals and visit project sites as needed to address issues, conflicts, or questions that may arise.
- Communication: Generate and present project status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Business Development: Develop new business opportunities with existing and new clients through building relationships.
- PE License: Active PE state license in Texas.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree a plus).
- Experience: 6+ years of engineering experience, including commercial and MEP projects, with expertise in HVAC or plumbing design and project management.
- Software Skills: Strong skills in Revit or compatible software, with experience in AutoCAD.
- Additional Skills: Familiarity with HVAC modeling programs such as TRACE700, CHVAC7.0, and/or AIRMaster a plus.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with a range of people from subcontractors to project owners.
