We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative individual to fill the role of Director of Membership Engagement and Growth to join our leading organization.

This position lays a vital responsibility to cultivating our overall membership operations, membership experience, growth and retention strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of the association and make a positive impact within the real estate industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of our membership strategy, including defining the member value proposition and executing member retention and recruitment efforts.
  • Develops strategies and programs to institute and stimulate the overall member experience and corresponding segments.
  • Identifies opportunities and collaborates with other departments to enhance member benefits and services offered by the Association.
  • Provides recommendations and insights into the financial forecasts and annual budget.
  • Makes recommendations, in collaboration with other departments, to develop timely member programs, networking events, webinars, and other activities to foster a sense of community.
  • Builds and retains relationships with the Kentucky Real Estate Commission.
  • Continuously supports, identifies, researches and develops business opportunities for the department and the Association, including but not limited to non-dues revenue programs.
  • Ensures annual compliance with the NAR Mandatory Core Standards for Associations of REALTORS for assigned areas of organizational responsibility.
  • Oversees all membership tracking and reporting data, including but not limited to accurate membership records, membership application processing and membership trend analysis.
  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of the membership department for current, new and prospective members, including member transfers, offices changes, Supra lockbox system, etc.
  • Oversees the annual membership renewal billing and process and corresponding inquiries and work closely with accounting to update membership statuses.
  • Creates and takes part in member outreach activities, broker office visits, member events, etc.
  • Overhauls and oversees the new member orientation process.
  • In conjunction with the CEO, identifies relevant training, development opportunities and mentoring for departmental staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

About You:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience in association management, project management, membership processing management, sales support and/or account management operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing exceptional service to members, affiliates and vendors, and will be able to leverage action plans to facilitate successful work.

The candidate should be effective at managing multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing effectively, with strong interpersonal and written skills.

They should also be able to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders throughout all organizational channels, and have excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, facilitation, decision-making, and time management skills.

Demonstrated knowledge of market trends and changes and provides innovative concepts to adjust accordingly is a plus.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of Rappatoni, Tangilla or another large AMS platform is a plus.

Travel and minimum evening hours may be required at key points of the year.

Position Location:

Located in Louisville, KY. This is an in-office position.


Salary Description:

With discretionary bonus opportunity. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skillset, experience, qualifications and other job-related factors.


Salary Range:

$65k-$75k
