Job Title: Corporate Accounting Professional

Job Summary:

Morton Community Bank is a leading financial institution in Central Illinois, dedicated to serving our customers and supporting local communities. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Corporate Accounting Professional.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record financial transactions associated with various areas of the bank
  • Process payments and maintain accurate records
  • Perform daily and month-end reconciliations
  • Assist in the preparation of month-end financial statements
  • Contribute to internal control and risk-related reviews
  • Support other related projects
  • Attend accounting and finance-related meetings and discussions

Requirements:

  • College students who will have completed their sophomore or junior year with an anticipated graduation date
  • Majoring in accounting
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Detail-oriented and confident in a professional office environment
  • Trustworthy in dealing with confidential information
  • Interested in living and working in Central Illinois after graduation

Program Details:

  • Summer to 10-week program
  • Paid internship: $20.00/hour, 40-hour work week
  • Application deadline: September 25, 2024
