Position Overview:

The Advanced Radiologic Specialist II is responsible for executing both standard and specialized imaging procedures to generate high-quality diagnostic images for physicians and healthcare professionals. This role requires independent operation, utilizing sound judgment and honed clinical skills to ensure safe and accurate imaging practices. Building trust and rapport with patients, their families, and the healthcare team is essential through effective assessment, vigilant monitoring, and clear communication. Compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures is critical to maintain patient privacy and safety while delivering exceptional care. Additionally, this position may involve performing specific procedures and assisting in the orientation of new staff members.

Job Description:

EDUCATION:

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
  • CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist (as per state requirements).
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider upon hire.
  • RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy certification within 180 days of hire if required.
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
  • Comprehensive understanding of diagnostic radiology principles, procedures, and equipment, including experience in trauma response and hospital emergencies.
  • Ability to conduct routine radiographic examinations with a solid grasp of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and adhere to established procedures to meet objectives and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and related information systems (Radiology Information Systems, Laboratory Information Systems, Electronic Health Records, EPIC, and Picture Archive and Communication Systems).
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team, managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Skill in identifying, assessing, and resolving standard issues by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.
  • Commitment to ensuring the confidentiality of each patient's protected health information (PHI).
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships with colleagues and other healthcare professionals to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

Pay Range is $47.24 to $59.04 / hour.

The salary range for this role may vary based on location and other factors including experience, education, skills, licensure, and departmental needs. Base pay is one component of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles may also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
