The main focus of this role is to guarantee that all kitchen equipment is prepared for incoming orders while maintaining a tidy and organized workspace for the culinary team.

Following directives from senior kitchen staff, you will actively engage in supporting them during peak service hours.


SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Aid the chef in managing kitchen operations during evening shifts
  • Uphold exceptional cleanliness standards within the kitchen
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned to the highest standards
  • Organize and maintain the kitchen environment
  • Regularly dispose of waste and adhere to recycling protocols
  • Follow strict health and safety regulations, as well as food hygiene practices
  • Assist with incoming stock deliveries and help with the rotation of inventory as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience as a Kitchen Steward or in a similar kitchen role
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Effective teamwork skills
  • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to high standards
  • A genuine enthusiasm for culinary arts
  • Determination and focus on achieving results correctly the first time
