Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the performance of hourly employees in the Raw Materials area.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance blend cost efficiency.
- Achieve proficiency in operational software such as Keystone and Raw Materials release applications.
- Guide and train team members to ensure safe and effective equipment operation, meeting customer specifications.
- Oversee all aspects of shift operations, including safety, quality, production metrics, and operational costs.
- Foster employee development and prepare team members for career advancement opportunities.
- Report operational concerns to management following company policies and ethical standards.
- Ensure certification and re-certification of employees for critical and non-critical operational skills.
- Utilize scheduling tools and data to maintain an efficient workflow that meets customer demands.
- Address disciplinary issues in accordance with departmental and company guidelines.
- Maintain responsibility for equipment, tools, and workspace organization, ensuring a clean and efficient environment.
- Innovate solutions to challenges while adhering to quality and company policies.
- Actively participate in departmental cost-saving initiatives related to production and processes.
- Engage all employees in efforts to enhance safety, quality, production efficiency, and timely delivery to customers.
- Maintain necessary production records and documentation.
- Be available for scheduled or unscheduled overtime, including night shifts as required.
Required Skills:
- Expertise in operations management and supervision.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience in foundry or reliability engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Background in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or materials management.
- Proven experience supervising teams across multiple shifts.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies.
