Bucket Operator

Xylem I LLC is seeking a skilled Bucket Operator to join our team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to remove branches and tree material from electrical lines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment, including bucket trucks, to safely remove branches and tree material from electrical lines.
• Assist in preparing equipment and materials for each day's work.
• Help maintain and repair equipment and tools used in operations.
• Collaborate with other crew members to ensure efficient and safe completion of tasks.
• Clean up and dispose of debris after each job.
• Set up barriers, warning signs, and other safety measures to protect employees and the public.
• Stay up-to-date on new equipment, specifications, and operating procedures.
• Track and report mileage to the Foreperson.
• Participate in storm work as needed.

Requirements:

• Prior experience operating heavy equipment in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of daily maintenance and safe operations of equipment.
• Physical strength and good balance to climb into and around mobile equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Good vision and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Endurance to perform duties throughout an 8-10 hour day.
• Ability to travel for storm restoration work when needed.
