Automation/Controls Systems Specialist

Selectek is partnering with a company in the western suburbs of Atlanta to fill a Automation/Controls Engineer role on a direct-hire basis.

This client is seeking an experienced candidate to function in a hands-on role including project design, commissioning, and start-up of automation systems.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechatronic or Computer Engineering
  • 4+ years of experience working in automation and controls design in a construction environment
  • PLC programming and configuration using ladder logic, function block, and structured text
  • Proficiency in Rockwell Automation Hardware and Allen-Bradley suite
  • HMI programming and configuration
  • Ideal candidates have significant Wonderware and AutoCAD experience

In addition to these requirements, candidates must hold United States citizenship, per the client's request. Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.


Job Details:

  • Develop functional design specifications and logic narratives
  • Create system architecture including PLCs, HMIs, and networks for associated servers
  • Develop bills of material and IO lists for control panels
  • Manage project scope, budget, and schedule
  • Deploy systems at client sites and test/troubleshoot programs to ensure a smooth startup process
  • Lead and manage field activities during installation and startup at client sites
  • Train customers on the operation of client-specific system software
  • Ideal candidates can deliver projects on aggressive timelines while emphasizing safety requirements

Schedule:
Monday – Friday, normal work hours.
