Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivers quality care by offering excellent customer service and participating in a team-centered approach towards patient care.
  • Collaborates with the Physician and nursing staff regarding patient care and holistic care involving patient families.
  • Must show proficiency in order entry, providing clerical and patient-related support in the functional areas of record keeping, scheduling, and patient billing.
  • Must utilize knowledge of office policy and procedure, verification of patient demographics, patient record filing and retention, and verification of physician orders.
  • Must schedule patients for appointments and referrals, prepare patient for exam, and maintain office supplies.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum Three (3) years experience in direct patient care.
  • Prefer experience in phlebotomy and laboratory testing/specimen preparation.
  • Excellent PC skills and exceptional communication skills, critical thinking skills, and independent decision-making skills.
  • Preferred: Currently registered as Medical Assistant by the American Association of Medical Personnel or other governing body, and BLS / CPR certification.
