Position Overview
As a Project Superintendent, you will oversee field operations and manage onsite construction for design-build projects. Your primary focus will be on quality assurance for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, along with the construction, startup, and testing phases of complex projects nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with preconstruction, design, engineering, procurement, operations, safety, quality, and all other project site management team members to ensure sufficient project resources are always available.
- Supervise construction personnel and subcontractors to ensure project completion within budget and on schedule.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety and quality, demonstrating a solid project safety record.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic and readiness to travel or relocate as necessary for job sites.
- Be creative and results-driven, with a strong sense of urgency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering, or equivalent trade experience with progression to management roles.
- 5-10 years of experience in technical commercial/industrial construction management, particularly on projects exceeding $50 million, preferably with design-build experience.
- Proven ability to manage construction teams and subcontractors effectively to meet budgetary and scheduling requirements.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to travel or relocate as required.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset.
- Physical capability to navigate job sites, including climbing ladders and multi-floor scaffolding.
- Able to lift objects weighing at least 60 pounds.
