Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to establish and oversee safety, quality, financial, production, scheduling, inventory, resource management, and customer satisfaction goals related to assigned construction projects.
  • Act as the site-specific authority for designated projects.
  • Assist the Project Manager in formulating initial project budgets and revenue forecasts to prevent cost overruns during the construction phase.
  • Under the guidance of the Project Manager, take charge of all revenue and cost aspects of the construction segment of the project.
  • Work alongside the Project Manager to create and sustain the projected construction timeline for assigned projects, reporting on all milestone achievements and schedule modifications.
  • Develop, maintain, and archive Statements of Work (SOW), Orders of Magnitude (OOM), and Bills of Materials (BOM) for assigned projects.
  • Evaluate RFDS and other RF engineering documents to assess constructability and formulate SOW/OOM/BOM. Inform the Project Manager/Customer of any constructability issues with the RFDS design.
  • Review necessary surveys (ground, tower, and shelter) for each project.
  • Analyze project drawings and provide design recommendations. Review and interpret project drawings for accurate SOW/OOM/BOM, offering input to Architecture & Engineering (A&E) and Project Managers with drawing revisions as needed.
  • Identify and schedule various subcontractors/internal teams essential for project execution.
  • Receive and assess subcontractor quotes, change orders, and invoices. Collaborate with Project Controls in issuing subcontractor Purchase Orders and processing subcontractor payments.
  • Ensure all pass-through costs are included in the SOW/OOM/BOM.
  • Coordinate with utility companies, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), tenants, and local, state, and federal regulations, including construction permits, inspections, notifications, punch lists, and project close-out requirements.
  • Monitor WTC crew time billed against assigned projects.
  • Engage in pre-construction meetings to clarify safety, quality, SOW/OOM/BOM, scheduling, and close-out requirements for internal WTC crews/subcontractors, ensuring an accurate and approved SOW/OOM/BOM is in place before construction begins.
  • Oversee safety, quality, and scheduling throughout the construction process.
  • Ensure all modifications to the SOW/OOM/BOM during construction are communicated to the WTC customer promptly.
  • Deliver all close-out requirements in a timely manner, aligning with the natural cadence of the project.
  • Participate in post-construction meetings to verify WTC crew/subcontractor quality, reconcile subcontractor Purchase Orders, finalize SOW/OOM/BOM, and confirm that all close-out documents have been submitted.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Manager in telecommunications construction, preferably in wireline/Outside Plant (OSP).
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong time management, organizational planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions, respond to management directives, and uphold commitments.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management capabilities.
  • Able to establish and communicate clear goals and objectives.
  • Willingness to commute to the designated location.
