Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Chef de Cuisine to develop diverse and exciting menus that align with our culinary vision.
- Lead and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to high standards of food preparation and presentation.
- Inspire creativity in the kitchen by introducing new dishes and refining existing recipes.
- Oversee the training of kitchen personnel to enhance their skills and maintain efficiency.
- Ensure the kitchen operates smoothly, maintaining cleanliness and organization at all times.
- Manage inventory and control food costs effectively to maximize profitability.
- Stay updated on culinary trends and implement best practices in the kitchen.
Required:
- A minimum of 3 years in a leadership position within a similar culinary environment.
- At least 2 years of experience as a lead line cook or equivalent role.
- Proven leadership skills in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
Preferred:
- Approximately 5 years of experience in fine dining or hotel culinary operations.
- A degree from a recognized culinary program.
- Knowledge of cost analysis and inventory management.
- Food safety certifications, such as FoodHandlers or Servsafe.
- Extensive knowledge of French cuisine.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company standards.
