In this role, you will be involved in a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing manufacturing processes and product development. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Utilizing your knowledge to creatively introduce and implement advanced manufacturing techniques.
  • Conducting data analysis to drive quality enhancements.
  • Creating comprehensive standard operating procedures.
  • Developing insightful dashboards using tools like Power BI for improved data visualization.
  • Designing cost-effective engineering solutions adaptable to product and volume variations, including the development of fixtures and tooling.
  • Benchmarking practices and sharing best practices within the engineering organization.

Additionally, you will participate in industrial projects throughout all phases, including:

  • Conducting pre-studies and theoretical volume capacity assessments.
  • Monitoring project activities and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve consensus.

Effective communication is essential in this role. You will need to:

  • Listen actively to the needs of both internal and external clients.
  • Present ideas, challenges, and solutions clearly in both written and verbal formats.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment to creatively address issues and resolve conflicts.

We seek individuals who are proactive in identifying potential problems and taking steps to mitigate risks. A commitment to continuous improvement and maintaining a safe, clean workspace is crucial.


Qualifications:
Candidates must be currently enrolled in an Engineering Degree program.

Preferred fields of study include Industrial, Mechanical, and Engineering Design at an accredited institution, with at least 30 semester hours completed prior to the internship.

A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 is required.

Co-op students will not be enrolled in academic courses during their rotation and may work up to 40 hours per week.
