Manufacturing Process Specialist
This role is under the supervision of the Plant Superintendent.
Core Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the needs for enhancements to production processes, pinpointing opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, quality enhancement, productivity, and dependability.
- Examine operational tasks and create Standard Operating Procedures along with Visual Work Instructions.
- Establish systems to assess and classify waste and inefficiencies.
- Execute process enhancements aimed at minimizing waste and inefficiencies in production.
- Design and propose industrial trials to the operational team for endorsement.
- Promote advancement through a methodical approach to process standardization by reviewing operations and identifying parameters that can be stabilized to diminish variability.
- Formulate, oversee, and implement project plans (Project Management).
- Guarantee adherence to corporate process standards across the site.
- Uphold the company's core values and leadership principles.
Essential Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of pertinent experience in Process, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Proven ability to manage projects successfully within time and budget constraints.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement strategies, including Lean Manufacturing.
- Knowledge and implementation of 5S principles are preferred.
- Utilization of tools and methodologies to ensure the successful achievement of objectives.
- Skills in project execution from initial planning to completion.
- Strong mathematical and statistical analysis capabilities.
- Understanding of Risk Management principles.
- Proficient in computer applications including MS Project, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, AutoCAD/Inventor.
Non-Technical Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage both short-term and long-term projects.
- Excellent communication skills; fluency in English, effective presentation abilities, and capacity to engage with individuals at all levels.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Effective planning and time management skills.
- Aptitude for mentoring and coaching Junior Engineers.
- Collaborative team player.
