Position Overview

AECOM is looking for a skilled Senior Marketing Proposal Specialist to partner with the East Region business development and operations teams on various pursuits. This role involves collaborating on the creation of both formal and informal client solicitations, such as expressions of interest (EOI), requests for qualifications (RFQ), and requests for proposals (RFP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess a deep understanding of the company's philosophy and policies.
  • Exhibit substantial expertise in marketing and proposal management.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive job knowledge and competence across all job facets.
  • Handle advanced assignments that require independent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with technical and business development staff to create submissions and materials aimed at securing new contracts.
  • Lead pursuit teams in proposal development, overseeing schedules, templates, compliance, content planning, messaging, and production.
  • Serve as the primary writer/editor for resumes and past performance sections in proposals.
  • Manage various proposals and presentations from pre-RFP positioning to interview stages, including participation in go/no-go analyses.
  • Ensure adherence to RFP instructions and internal branding guidelines in document design.
  • Facilitate quality reviews and apply lessons learned to enhance proposal value.
  • Support special projects and mentor entry-level proposal team members as needed.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in a marketing team leading or supporting proposal activities.
  • Strong understanding of effective proposal and presentation strategies.
  • Ability to produce accurate and compelling work independently and collaboratively.
  • Exceptional writing skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven organizational and administrative capabilities, including managing multiple tasks and documents.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the A/E industry and AECOM's projects and competitors.
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing best practices and tools.
  • Proficiency in InDesign, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience with collaborative tools like Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
  • Understanding of CRM Salesforce is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to manage concurrent projects effectively.
