Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Flight Technician to join our team at Embraer. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly and flight preparation operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and Preparation: Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Quality Control: Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed tasks, and collaborates with quality and manufacturing engineering for troubleshooting component replacement/failures.
  • Inspections and Testing: Conducts operator verification quality inspections in flight phase or supporting production line in accordance with quality specifications, and performs serviceability tests as required.
  • Documentation and Certification: Completes work package documentation as required by FAA and/or repair station manual, and submits completed work to Quality Assurance for final/in progress inspection and certification of airworthiness.
Requirements
  • Education: High School/ GED, with A&P and mechanical/electrical experience a plus.
  • Experience: Journeyman Technician Role requiring Intermediate Skills to perform most of the standard tasks within the technical area assigned to, with generally 2-8 years or more experience in area of responsibility.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Assignments require Standard Knowledge of a Technical Area, with rapid learning and application of new information and concepts within the Technical Area.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required, and to wear a respirator as per OSHA 29 CFR 'Respirator Protection' regulations with no restrictions that would prevent the proper use and/or seal of the respirator.
