Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Server to join our team at Saint James French Diner. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, taking orders, running food, making espresso drinks, and serving cocktails and other refreshments from the bar. You will work closely with our team to ensure the restaurant and bar run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that guests have a memorable dining experience.
  • Take orders, run food, and make espresso drinks and cocktails as ordered by guests.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure the restaurant and bar run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Restock, replenish, and prep the coffee bar and side work areas as needed.
  • Communicate openly with bar and restaurant managers regarding customer feedback.
  • Collaborate with hotel staff to ensure overnight guests visit the bar/restaurant and know about all the great offerings available exclusively to them.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience as a Server in a high-quality full-service or fast-casual environment.
  • Ability to provide legible communication and directions.
  • Basic arithmetic skills.
  • Attention to detail, speed, and accuracy in performing job duties.
  • Prioritize, organize, and follow up on tasks.
  • Clear thinking and problem-solving skills, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
  • Ability to follow directions thoroughly.
  • Understanding of guest service needs.
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
