Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining optimal staffing levels.
- Promote a professional image of the company by maintaining cleanliness and adhering to uniform standards.
- Ensure the highest quality of food and service by upholding consistent product standards.
- Manage back-of-house food costs through strategic ordering, inventory management, and financial analysis.
- Foster a safe working environment to minimize risks and accidents.
- Maintain kitchen organization and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations.
- Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of kitchen staff; provide supervision and motivation, and recommend disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Conduct ongoing training for employees to enhance skills and performance.
- Lead by example, mentoring new team members and promoting a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; culinary arts certification or related degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role within a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Demonstrated confidence in culinary skills and abilities.
- Proven leadership capabilities with effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Capability to navigate the kitchen safely and efficiently.
- Proficient in handling food and kitchen equipment safely.
- Ability to bend, stoop, stand, and kneel as required.
- Adaptability to varying temperature conditions in the kitchen environment.
