Job Overview

HomeGrown is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operation, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of kitchen staff, including supervisors and trainers
  • Develop and implement menu plans and recipes to ensure high-quality food products
  • Manage inventory and supplies to minimize waste and optimize costs
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards
  • Collaborate with the hospitality team to provide exceptional guest service

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality or culinary arts preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisory role in a casual dining restaurant
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices and regulations

Working Conditions:

  • Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and exert fast-paced mobility between the dining room and kitchen
  • Able to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends
