Job Summary:

The Product Compliance Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring that VIZIO's consumer electronics hardware meets all necessary regulatory and compliance requirements. This includes managing certification processes for packaging, regulatory compliance, and technology/software/app license programs, as well as drafting test plans for qualitative testing with manufacturers.

The successful candidate will have an opportunity to research new features and contribute to product specifications, build technical feature specification documents, manage PRD approval process with ODMs and internal teams, and communicate technical feature specifications of VIZIO products to Management, Sales & Marketing, Quality Assurance, Customer Service, etc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive Roadmap for Packaging: Manage testing and approval process for packaging with ODMs and internal teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage Certification Process: Oversee certification processes for packaging, regulatory compliance, and technology/software/app license programs to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Communicate Technical Specifications: Develop and maintain technical documentation, database, and presentation materials to support product information sharing with other departments within the company.
  • Manage Compliance Programs: Develop and maintain US Federal, State, and Software/Technology Licensing compliance programs for VIZIO's consumer electronics hardware.
  • Partner with Supply Chain: Collaborate with VIZIO's supply chain to ensure ongoing legal and regulatory product level compliance.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
  • Experience: 1-2+ years product management or project management experience in consumer electronics product field.
  • Skills: Expertise in structural design on packaging for consumer electronics products, experience working with compliance and certification processes for consumer electronics products, and strong project management skills.
Compensation:

The minimum salary for this position is $90,000/year, with a maximum salary of $118,000/year. In addition to base salary, the compensation package includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision, and other benefits.
