Manufacturing Operations Supervisor

The Production Team Leader will oversee all aspects of safety, quality, efficiency, cost management, and employee development within a designated production area across multiple shifts. This role requires a proven ability to guide a successful team and manage daily manufacturing operations to ensure that production objectives are met or surpassed in terms of quality and cost.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a production team.
- Ensure compliance with all internal and external standards and regulations.
- Propose and implement strategies to enhance departmental productivity, product quality, and working conditions, minimizing downtime through teamwork and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Maintain effective relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate and reinforce production plans within your area of responsibility.
- Create a safe working environment for all employees.
- Ensure adherence to the Quality System and that all products meet established specifications.
- Collaborate with internal and external contacts to proactively address quality, environmental, and service challenges.
- Provide both formal and informal updates on production performance and issues.
Position Overview:
- This role is based in a manufacturing facility.
- Work Schedule: 2nd shift.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma with 4 years of experience in a manufacturing setting OR a Bachelor's degree.
- Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
- Experience in production supervision.
- Background in quality control within a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Microsoft Power Suite (PowerBI, PowerAutomate, Teams, SharePoint).
- Knowledge of SAP systems.
