Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Teijin Automotive Technologies. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for defining and implementing production processes that meet customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Development: Define production process parameters to ensure products meet customer requirements, and implement processes with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Documentation and Training: Create documentation for production support and data collection, and develop training programs and materials for production team leaders, technicians, and operators.
  • Quality and Safety: Participate in planning personnel safety and protection activities consistent with OSHA/IOSHA and other regulatory agency standards, ensuring all reporting associates are trained and comply.
  • Vendor Management: Select vendors for equipment and production materials, and develop and issue criteria to vendors for supplied items.
  • Inventory Management: Determine stock items and quantities for equipment spare parts and production materials, and define preventative maintenance items and schedules for equipment.
  • Process Improvement: Develop, document, and continuously improve manufacturing processes, production, and quality, and support TS16949 and ISO14001 initiatives.
  • Operational Excellence: Develop or revise standard operational and working practices, observing workers to ensure compliance with standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited college, university, or technical school; and/or five (5) years of related experience and/or training in engineering or manufacturing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
