Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Guidance: Provide daily leadership and guidance to maintenance staff, ensuring they have a good understanding of work practices and procedures.
- Work Order Management: Assist the supervisor in ensuring that all work orders are completed in a timely manner, while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Maintenance and Repair: Assist with and/or perform maintenance and/or repairs on production, processing, and packaging equipment, as well as utility-related equipment or systems, following all safety procedures.
- Purchasing and Inventory Management: Support the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) purchasing and inventory management functions, including all repair and maintenance parts and supplies.
- Training and Development: Train and mentor maintenance team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Communication: Maintain communication with other departments, management, and employees, notifying them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production.
- Documentation: Ensure all repairs are documented, completing all paperwork clearly, legibly, and accurately with required information.
- Continuous Improvement: Utilize a continuous improvement mindset to identify opportunities to improve processes and maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in maintenance or a related field, with a strong background in leadership and supervision.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in maintenance and repair procedures, as well as purchasing and inventory management.
