This full-time internship opportunity is designed to equip individuals with the essential skills required for a successful career in student-athlete academic support.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Academic Support Services (SAASS), the Academic Support Coordinator will collaborate with the SAASS team to deliver academic assistance to designated football student-athletes. Responsibilities include monitoring the academic progress of assigned student-athletes in accordance with university and NCAA eligibility standards. Additionally, the Academic Support Coordinator will assist in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes. This role requires flexibility in scheduling, including availability during evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
A completed master's degree in a relevant field, active progress towards a master's degree, or a structured plan to obtain a master's degree, or an equivalent level of training and experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office with the capability to generate written reports.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with various stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
A commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Capacity to work independently as well as part of a cohesive team.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with NCAA eligibility regulations.
Experience in providing academic support services to student-athletes.
Compensation
Pay Band: 4
Hourly Rate: $20.03
Appointment Type
