Job Description:

This internship experience is designed to provide an individual with the opportunity to grow and develop the necessary skills needed to advance their career in student-athlete academic support.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of the Learning Assistance Program, the Assistant Learning Specialist will work with the LAP team to provide one-on-one support to student-athletes who have education-impacting disabilities or who are academically at-risk.

This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

Required Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree or progress toward a Master's Degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to develop written reports
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with various stakeholders in a time-sensitive environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of NCAA eligibility bylaws
  • Experience in student-athlete academic support services

Pay Band: 4 Appointment Type: Restricted Salary Information: $20.03 per hour
