Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanical Technician to join our team at Group14 Technologies. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, machinery, and conveyors to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct predictive and preventative maintenance activities to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Work in a chemical manufacturing environment, including the ability to wear a respirator and follow safety protocols.
  • Participate in new installations and modifications to existing equipment, and assist in the design and implementation of new processes.
  • Diagnose and repair problems with valves, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, and conveyor systems.
  • Manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Rebuild and install industrial valves and other piping components, and repair industrial rotating equipment.
  • Participate in design reviews, root-cause analyses, and the management of change (MOC) process.
  • Understand piping systems and their uses, including knowledge of and adherence to plant piping standards.
  • Operate boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts, and perform other tasks as required.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, and three to five years of related experience or equivalent combination of industrial maintenance experience and education.
  • Good general mechanical aptitude and experience with HVAC, IR-thermal, ultrasound, vibration, baker testing, valve rebuilds, PRV, fabrication, facilities maintenance, controls, air compressor/dryers, RO systems, steam/heat recovery, mobile equipment, UPS, lubrication, orbital welding, machining, pipe fitting, pump rebuilds, robotics, and pipe wall integrity.
  • Understanding and conformity to safety protocols such as LOTO, Fall-Protection, Confined Space, and other life-critical safety protocols.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, PFDs, P&IDs, blueprints, and manuals.
