About the Role:
The Clinical Consultant will play a crucial role in providing behavioral support services to individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and/or other behavioral and social/communication challenges. This position requires a strong understanding of behavioral analysis and a commitment to delivering high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments: The Clinical Consultant will conduct thorough assessments to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviors and develop effective intervention plans.
- Provide Clinical Services: This role will provide clinical services that correspond with licensure and/or certification type, including counseling, therapy, and behavioral support.
- Develop and Implement Training Programs: The Clinical Consultant will use assessment instruments and data to develop and implement training programs that reflect behavioral and other outcomes and objectives identified in the IDI, ISP, BSP, and safety plan.
- Establish and Maintain Data Measurement Systems: This role will establish and maintain data measurement, collection, and analysis systems for those receiving behavioral interventions and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Conduct Periodic Service Reviews: The Clinical Consultant will conduct structured periodic service reviews to monitor the effectiveness of the behavior interventions and their implementation, modify and document plan changes as needed.
- Provide Professional Development and Training: This role will provide professional development, training, and modeling for team members in strategies and methodologies for working with individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and/or other behavioral and social/communication challenges.
- Participate in ISP Meetings: The Clinical Consultant will participate in ISP meetings to ensure effective collaboration and communication with team members and stakeholders.
- Facilitate Social Skills Building Groups: This role will facilitate social skills building groups to support individuals in developing essential life skills.
- Education and Experience: A Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related field is required, along with licensure as a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner, Licensed Mental Health Practitioner, Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner, Board Certified Behavior Analyst, or Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner.
- Skills and Abilities: The ideal candidate will possess excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and the ability to problem-solve and assist in decision-making. A valid Nebraska driver's license, reliable transportation, and good driving record are also required.
